COURSE DETAILS

The course is equipped with modules detailing food safety hazards, food preparation, personal hygiene, chemical and allergenic hazards, food storage, microbiological hazards and details about registering the food business, contacting local authorities and obtaining legal documents and FSA publications. It will also consist of a full audio voiceover, along with video contents that will help a learner achieve a fast-paced understanding of the subject. There will also be 24-hour learning support to assist students in case of any further help.
Working in the hospitality or service industry means complying with the latest Food and Hygiene regulations. The EU Regulation 852/2004 concurs food businesses to ensure that employees who specifically deal with food get educated about food hygiene practices. Keeping this in mind, this course is designed to deliver food safety training without the hassles of leaving the office or attend classroom sessions that disrupt the work environment. Any employee that is a food establishment owner, restaurant manager, catering manager, café supervisor, publican/pub landlord, street food trader, school lunchtime supervisors and head chefs etc. are all required to be trained in food safety. The course provides with up-to-date food hygiene content within a variety of videos and interactive text formats to ensure learners get updated on the latest food hygiene rules. 

Applicability
This course is valid for anyone who handles or prepares food including restaurants, bars, mobile food outlets, catering businesses, pubs, street food trader, food production factories, any other eating outlets in universities, schools etc. 

Entry Requirements
As such, there are no entry requirements to take this course. However, a sound knowledge of healthy food practices will prove to be beneficial to the candidate as he progresses through the course.

Test and Certificate
On completion of the course, learners will be asked to take an assessment of 25 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and score a minimum of 70 per cent to achieve a passing grade. Once cleared, the candidates will be issued a certificate through the post the next working day. The certificate will also be available for download on the main website. The certificate does not have an expiry date; however, the candidate is advised to renew his certification every three years. This certificate can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.  

Course Duration
The course will take approximately 2-3 hours to complete. Candidates can complete the course according to their convenience. The system will record the learner’s progress as and when he completes a unit.
