COURSE DETAILS

A business owner or a supervisor must comply with the provisions of the Food Safety Act of 1990, Regulation (EC) 852/2004 of the European Parliament on the Hygiene of Foodstuffs, and the Food Hygiene Regulations 2005. The Level 3 HACCP is one such training course suitable for all industry workers that provide the knowledge required by The EU food hygiene legislation Regulation 852/2004, Article 5, to implement and maintain hygiene procedures based on the internationally accepted HACCP system. The course includes adequate information about Planning a HACCP System, Creating the HACCP System, HACCP and The Law, 

  • Principle 1: Hazard Analysis,
  • Principle 2: Critical Control Points,
  • Principle 3: Critical Limits,
  • Principle 4: Monitoring Critical Control Points,
  • Principle 5: Corrective Action,
  • Principle 6: Documentation, Implementing the HACCP System


The Level 3 HACCP course is suitable to any type of worker who works in the food industry including food handlers and supervisors across any industry (catering, manufacturing or retail) as well as anyone who works in the food industry but does not necessarily handle food. Managers or supervisors of a food business can opt for level 3 HACCP course. There are no specific entry-level requirements which provide flexibility to the student.
    
As such, there are no entry requirements to take this course. However, a candidate can also to complete the Level 2 HACCP course as a sound knowledge of healthy food practices will prove to be beneficial to the candidate as he progresses through the course.
 
Aims:

  • Conduct hazard analysis and identify critical control points
  • Select relevant control measures and document everything
  • Ensure HACCP controls are working effectively
  • To validate and verify HACCP plans
  • To define the correct food hygiene and food safety hazards standards

 

Test and Certificate
On completion of the course, learners will be asked to take an assessment of 45 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and score a minimum of 70 per cent to achieve a passing grade. Once cleared, the candidates will be issued a certificate through the post the next working day. The certificate will also be available for download on the main website. The license does not have an expiry date; however, the candidate is advised to renew his certification every three years. This certificate can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.

The course will take approximately 8 hours to complete. Candidates can complete the course according to their convenience. The system will record the learner’s progress as and when he completes a unit.
